Welcome to CatalEx! This guide walks you through creating your account and getting oriented for the first time.
Two ways to get started
How you create your account determines whether you start a new company or join one that already exists:
- Register a new company — Use the Register tab on the login page. You enter your name, an optional company name, your email, and a password, then verify your email. You become the Owner of a brand-new workspace.
- Join an existing company — Open the invite link a teammate sends you, set a password, and you're in — signed in right away with the role they assigned (no separate email verification step). See Inviting Your Team.
Registering a new account
On the login page, switch to the Register tab and fill in:

| Password / Confirm Password | Must meet the strength requirements shown. |
Click Register. CatalEx shows "Check your email for a verification link to complete registration."
You must click the verification link before you can log in. If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder, or request a new link from the login page.
Sign in with Google
You can also Sign in with Google from the login page. Your name and email come from your Google profile, and there's no separate email-verification step.
Logging in for the first time
Once verified, switch to the Log In tab and sign in with your email and password (or Google). Forgot your password? Use Forgot Password? on the login page to get a reset link.
Landing in the app
After signing in you arrive in Studio — the home of CatalEx, where you build and run agents. From the left sidebar you can move between the four areas of the app:
- Studio — build your first agent by describing it in plain English or starting from a template.
- Brain — ask questions grounded in your company's knowledge and the web. See Brain.
- Tools — connect the integrations your agents will act on. See Tools.
- Settings — manage your profile, team, and plan. See Your Profile.
There's no separate setup wizard — the fastest way to learn CatalEx is to build your first agent.
FAQ
Can I sign up with a personal email address? Yes. To join a specific company, though, you'll need an invite from one of its admins.
I didn't receive the verification email. What should I do? Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, return to the login page and request a new verification link. Make sure you entered the correct email during sign-up.
Can I switch from email/password to Google later? If your CatalEx account email matches your Google account email, you can use Google to log in going forward.
What happens if I click an invite link but already have an account? You're added to that company with the assigned role — no new account needed. See Inviting Your Team.
How many companies can I belong to? Each CatalEx account is associated with one company at a time.
